SEPARATING WALLS

Tel  0870 803 2271

High Performance Twin Frame

Knauf Twin Frame non-loadbearing partitions provide exceptional sound reduction properties using fast drywall construction techniques.

•  Mainly used in the commercial sector (Eg. Cinemas, auditoria and separating walls in apartments).

•  For very high sound reduction values

•  For very high fire resistance values

This system utilises Knauf Plank as the first layer.

The subsequent layers can be from a wide range of boards: Knauf Wallboard, Knauf Moistureshield, Knauf Soundshield, Knauf Vapourshield, Knauf Fireshield, Knauf Fire Moistureshield and Knauf Denseshield, depending on the performance required. The boards are fixed onto two lightweight metal frameworks of Knauf ‘C’ Studs and Knauf ‘U’ Channels. The twin frame construction significantly reduces sound transmission.

Vertical service runs are easily accommodated within the metal framework.

The tapered edge boards can be taped and jointed using Knauf Jointing Compound and Accessories. Alternatively, a 2 to 5mm skim coat of Knauf MultiCover, or Knauf Universal Board Finish can be applied to achieve a more traditional plaster finish.
